On April 18, the State Information Office held a press conference on the performance of the national economy in the first quarter.
Fu Linghui, spokesman for the National Bureau of Statistics and director of the Comprehensive Statistics Department of the National Economy, said that as China's green development is steadily advancing, the pace of energy, green and low-carbon transformation is accelerating. The growing demand for new energy products and the increasing demand for energy conservation and carbon reduction in traditional industries will drive the growth of related industries.
In the first quarter, China's output of new energy vehicles and solar cells increased by 140.8% and 24.3% year-on-year respectively. The rapid development of 5G network information technology and artificial intelligence technology has also given rise to new industrial growth points. In the first quarter, the year-on-year added value of intelligent consumer goods and intelligent consumer equipment manufacturing increased by more than 10%.
