LG New Energy has invested more than $400 million to expand its 4680 battery production line in South KoreaLG New Energy announced on June 13 that it plans to invest 582 billion won ($453 million) in new infrastructure to produce 4680 batteries at its Ochang plant in South Korea.

The new production line has a capacity of 9GWh. LG new energy will also invest 150 billion won to expand the existing 2170 battery production line, which is expected to increase production capacity by 4GWh.
